Founder and C.E.O.,
Marta Foresti is the founder and C.E.O. of LAGO, a research and creative collective on migration, culture and the arts.
Before creating LAGO, Ms. Foresti spent most of her career leading research and policy organizations. Previously, she was managing and executive director at leading global affairs think tank ODI Global, where she led the portfolios on political governance, migration and sustainability, and continues to direct the Africa-Europe Mayors’ Dialogue. She is also a former adviser to the ministerial team at the Italian Treasury and led the Save the Children UK Evaluation and Research Unit.
Currently, she serves as a senior adviser at the Moleskine Foundation and a senior visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and ODI.
Ms. Foresti holds an M.A. in philosophy of science and logic from the University of Milan and an M.Sc. in research methods and theory of probability from the London School of Economics.
