Audrey Teichmann

Art Curator, Audemars Piguet

Audrey Teichmann is a French curator and researcher based in Switzerland with extensive experience in supporting contemporary artists, especially those exploring the intersection of visual arts and other fields.

Since 2020, she has served as an art curator at Audemars Piguet Contemporary, the brand’s global art program, alongside Denis Pernet. Audemars Piguet Contemporary commissions international artists to create contemporary artworks, often enabling artists to explore new territories in their practice.

In her time at Audemars Piguet Contemporary, she has worked with artists including Meriem Bennani, Petrit Halilaj, and Álvaro Urbano. These commissions have been exhibited at prestigious institutions around the world, such as the High Line in New York, Ocean Space in Venice and MACBA Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona.

Ms. Teichmann’s curatorial expertise is rooted in a deep understanding of the interplay between art and architecture, shaped by years of independent curation, research and programming. Prior to her work at Audemars Piguet Contemporary, she collaborated with a number of international artists including Allora & Calzadilla, Andreas Angelidakis, Iván Argote, Pipilotti Rist and Julius von Bismarck, among others. She has also collaborated with international architectural practices such as Arquitectonica in Miami, Atelier Bow-Wow in Tokyo, MVRDV in Rotterdam, Office KGDVS in Brussels, OMA-Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam and Pezo von Ellrichshausen based just south of Santiago in Chile.

Beyond her role at Audemars Piguet, Ms. Teichmann has curated architectural exhibitions at the Villa Noailles in Hyères, southeast France. She also established Hybrid, an experimental art and research center in the Basque Country, whose publications have received awards from the ICOM and the French Ministry for Youth. In addition, she has lectured at institutions such as the Villa Arson art center in Nice, La Villette School of Architecture in Paris and the Geneva School of Art and Design (HEAD).
